Of course one can look for an explanation for the fact that the temple doors open, but one can also look for an explanation for the fact that one can perceive that the temple doors open. The former are generally done by constructors, the latter by philosophers. And those who seek the same explanation for both questions are often called epistemological cognitivists or systems theorists nowadays.
