Give an obvious example of an explanatory description and an example of a description that is not obviously intended to explain something.


Possible solution:

Obvious example: I describe how a thermostatically controlled heater works.

Not obvious example: I'm describing a phenomenon such as the fact that the temperature in my apartment is always the same.
