I develop my concepts, up to the quanitative formalization of pdi-controllers in the control loop scheme, using automata, because automata are descriptive. Automata give me a second language, so to speak, by showing what I mean on the artifact.

Two hundred years ago, M. Shelley described in her wonderful Frankenstein story how humans can be constructed. She thereby anticipated artificial intelligence and genetic manipulation. The machine "man" - what N. Wiener called an organism or animal - can perhaps be constructively explained. Conversely, I use systems theory to investigate what can be constructively explained. I am not afraid that I will come across the human being in the process.
